Joint trails

Building a trail with other breweries, inviting stops, and answering an invitation to be a stop on someone else's.

Customers › ChallengesBrewhouse and ReserveRolling out

A joint trail is a challenge across two to six breweries, yours included. Members collect a stamp at each stop by logging a beer inside that brewery's check-in area, one a day, and finish when they've been to every stop. It goes live only when every stop has accepted.

Hosting a trail is part of Brewhouse and Reserve. Being a stop works on every plan. Only breweries on PintDeck Business can be stops, since somebody has to accept the terms and hand out rewards.

Build a trail

Start it

On Customers › Challenges, click Invite a brewery. (New challenge, then Joint trail, starts the same thing.)

Add the stops

Search Find a brewery on PintDeck, pick one, and choose What a stop there takes: any of their beers, or one beer of theirs. Click Add stop. Your own stop is on the list already, as the host.

Name it and set the dates

A trail runs for at least a week and at most three months. It's open to everyone on Taste.

Pick the reward

Merch, A discount, A card frame or Nothing extra. A Club perk can't be a trail's reward. Finishers redeem it once, at any stop. Under Who pays for it, choose Each stop or yourself, then say it in your own words under As the invitation will put it: who orders the glasses and roughly what each costs.

Send it

Click Send to partners, or Save draft. Nothing reaches the other breweries until you send.

Each stop is invited with the terms: what counts at their stop, the dates, the reward and who pays. It also says what members see (each brewery's name, house color and stop on the trail card and map) and what each brewery sees (stamps, finishers and redemptions at each stop, never who drank what).

While you wait

The trail's page says who it's waiting on, and goes live the moment every stop has accepted. Each stop's ⋯ menu lets you:

  • change What counts here: Any beer, or one of their beers;
  • Resend today's terms;
  • Remove from the trail.

Changing what counts at a partner's stop asks them to accept again, and so do new dates or a new reward. After editing, Save and resend sends the new terms.

Be a stop

When a brewery invites you, a banner on Customers › Challenges says who invited you, to what, how many stops and when. Click Review. Owners and admins can answer.

What you'd agree to lists your stop, the dates, the reward, who pays, and what members and you will see. Then:

  • Accept: a stamp at your brewery is a log inside your check-in area, and you honor the reward for finishers who redeem at your bar.
  • Suggest changes: say what you'd change. It goes to every brewery on the trail, and the host can edit and resend.
  • Decline: the trail carries on without you if the others want it.

Messages

Every brewery on a trail shares one Messages thread on the trail's page. Answers and suggestions land there too.

Results

The host and every stop that accepted see the same results: the totals for the trail, your own first visits, returns and redemptions, and a table by stop with Stamps, First visits, Came back and Redeemed here. People are counted, never what they drank.
