Taste events
Trivia nights, releases, festivals and classes that members find and collect in PintDeck Taste.
A Taste event is something members of PintDeck Taste can come to and collect: a weekly trivia night, a release party, a festival weekend, a six-week class. Members find it in the app, and what they collect for being there stays in their app.
Every event comes down to two choices: how often it happens, and who can come.
How often it happens
| How often | What members collect |
|---|---|
| Repeats, like trivia every Tuesday | A season card: a hole for every night this year, with rungs sized to how often it runs. A new card starts every January 1. |
| Once, like a release | A numbered souvenir stamp. With RSVPs or paid tickets, the numbered ticket itself, stamped at the door. |
| Several days, like a festival weekend | A wristband with a tab for every day. |
| A set of dates, like a class or a league | A run card: one cell per date, with rungs at the first, halfway and every one. |
Who can come
| Who can come | What it means |
|---|---|
| Anyone | No list. Members check in on Taste while they're inside your check-in area during the hours. They can say I'll be there, so you know how many to expect. |
| RSVP, free | A capped list. Each person gets a ticket numbered in the order they reserved. |
| Paid tickets | A price and a cap. Members buy in the app, and you can add guests who pay you any way. See Paid tickets. |
| By invitation | Unlisted, and nobody can reserve on their own. You add your guests. |
Set your check-in area first
Attendance is measured from your brewery's location. Set the check-in area on Customers › Taste › Overview before you make an event. Until it's set, the only events you can save are ones where staff scan every ticket at the door (Door scan only).
Where to find it
- On the web: Customers › Taste, then the Events tab. Each row shows the event's kind, whether it's Live or Off, how many members hold what it gives (Collected) and when it's Next on. Click a row to open the event.
- On iPhone: in PintDeck Business for iPhone, open the Calendar tab and tap Taste events under Plan.
- On the calendar: every date of a Taste event shows under the Events chip, marked ✦. See The calendar.
Your brewery has to be claimed on Taste first. Owners and admins make and change events; everyone on the team can open them, work the guest list and let people in at the door.
Plans
Taste events are on the Brewhouse and Reserve plans. Brewhouse runs two events on Taste at a time, of any kind, and Reserve has no limit. An event you take off Taste doesn't count, so taking one off frees a slot, and what members collected from it stays theirs.
