Getting started
From a new account to your beers on a screen, and the setup guide that walks you through it.
When you sign up, a short welcome pop-up asks what you want PintDeck to do, suggests a plan and starts your free trial. From then on a setup guide walks you through the rest, a step at a time, in the order that gets you something useful soonest.
The welcome pop-up
Pick what to set up
Choose any of the three parts: Menus (TV, online and print), Kegs & brewing, and Regulars (your club, Taste and events). PintDeck sets those up first and keeps the rest out of your way.
Tell us how you do it today
A few taps per part, all skippable. Your answers shape the setup guide: if you count kegs by hand, for example, it won't ask you to add kegs one by one.
Pick a plan and start the trial
PintDeck suggests the plan that fits what you picked. Card details go through Stripe, and nothing is charged until the trial ends. You can cancel any time from Billing in Settings. See Plans.
The setup guide
The setup guide sits in the bottom-right corner until everything in it is done. It lists short steps for the parts you picked, and each one ticks itself when PintDeck sees it done: add a beer and Add what's on tap is checked.
- Start opens the next step, often as a pop-up right where you are.
- Steps that need something first say so, such as After your On Tap section.
- Skip … for now moves a whole part to the bottom of the list. Put it back on the list brings it back.
- When a step sends you to another tab, the note at the bottom of the screen has Mark done, for a step you've handled another way.
- Edit adds or drops a part. Nothing you've done is lost.
- Minimize shrinks it to a small pill. Hide puts it away; bring it back with Setup at the top of the page.
- Talk to a person emails us if you get stuck.
What the guide covers
| Part | Steps |
|---|---|
| Your beers | Add what's on tap, by typing them in or importing a list. If your brewery already has a Taste page, check its matches to your beers. |
| Menus | Make your On Tap section, make your TV menu, put it on your TV, then your website, table QR codes and print menus. |
| Kegs & brewing | Add your kegs (or count them by hand), add the places they go, log your first fill, add your tanks and a recipe. |
| Regulars | Create your club, put its join code on the bar, connect Square, make your Taste page yours, and post your next event. |
Start with the On Tap section
Every menu, whether it's on a TV, your website or paper, is built from sections. That's why the guide asks for your On Tap section before any menu.
