Beer cards and editions

How drinkers earn your beers' cards on PintDeck Taste, what each edition means, the First Pour, and your brewery's pack.

Customers › Taste › CardsEvery planRolling out

Every beer you have on Taste has a card. A drinker earns it by logging the beer inside your check-in area. Coming back and logging it again on other days earns the next editions. Each edition is a card of its own, with its own finish and issue number, so a drinker collects the set rather than upgrading one card.

You don't hand cards out and you can't change the ladder. You choose which beers are on Taste and how their cards look.

The five editions

An edition counts days: the separate days that person logged that beer inside your check-in area. A day counts once, however many times they log it.

EditionNameEarned on
IStandardThe first day
IIGlossThe 3rd day
IIIGold foilThe 10th day
IVPlatinumThe 25th day
VHolographicThe 50th day

Because it counts the beer, not the brewery, one drinker can hold a Holographic card of your flagship and a Standard card of a seasonal.

The First Pour

The first person to log a beer inside your check-in area also gets its First Pour: one card, one holder, ever. A log somewhere else doesn't use it up, so the First Pour stays open until somebody logs the beer at your brewery.

Your pack

Your beers on Taste make up your brewery's pack. A drinker's pack counts the active beers they hold a card of, out of all your active beers. A beer you retire leaves the count, and drinkers who hold it keep it on a shelf of retired beers. A new beer reopens a finished pack without taking away that they finished it.

What you control

Publishing a new design repaints the cards people already hold. Editions, issue numbers, dates and holders never change.
