An event with a list (RSVP, free, Paid tickets or By invitation) has a Guests tab: who holds a seat, who's in, and who's waiting. Members reserve from the event in PintDeck Taste, and you can add guests yourself.

How members reserve

On a free RSVP event, members tap Reserve a seat (or Reserve a pass for an event that runs several days or a set of dates). Their ticket is numbered in the order people reserved, and they show it at the door. Each member holds one seat per date.

On a paid event they tap Buy a seat. See Paid tickets.

By invitation events are unlisted, and members can't reserve on their own. Add your guests from the Guests tab; see Add guests.

At an event open to Anyone there's nothing to reserve. Members can tap I'll be there on a date instead, and the event's Going count tells you how many to expect. You see the number, never who.

When it's full

Once every spot is taken, members see Join the waitlist if you left Waitlist when full on. If you didn't, a free event says Every seat is taken and a paid one says Sold out.

When a seat comes free, it goes to the first person waiting:

  • On a free event, the seat is theirs at once, and they get a notification with their number.
  • On a paid event, the seat is held for them for 24 hours, and they get a notification to pay in the app. If they don't, it's offered to the next person.

Giving a seat back

A member can give back a free seat from the event in Taste with Give it back. Their number goes to the first person waiting, and they can't get it back. Someone on the waitlist can Leave the waitlist the same way.

A paid seat can't be given back in the app. Members are told to ask you about a refund; see Refunds.

The Guests tab

Open the event and click Guests. For an event with several dates, pick the date at the top.

  • Find a guest searches by name, @handle, email or seat number.
  • The chips filter the list: All, then Owes and Paid on a paid event, and Comp, In and Waitlist when there's anyone in them.
  • Add guests adds people yourself, any time. See Take payment.

Each row is one order: a name with one or more seats, in seat order. It shows the seat numbers, ×2 for two seats, in once they've arrived, and how they came, like bought in Taste or added by Sam, Oct 3. A guest in your Club has a Club badge with their level; click it to open their membership. On a paid event the pill on the right says how they paid; see the pills.

The numbers at the top

Cancel a reservation

For a guest you added who hasn't paid anything or come in yet, open the row's … menu and choose Cancel reservation. Their seats go back on sale, to the waitlist first. Anyone on your team can do it. For someone who paid, use a refund instead.

On iPhone

In PintDeck Business for iPhone, open Calendar › Taste events and tap the event. The guest list sits above its dates, with Add guests and, while a date is on, Walk-in. Tap a guest to open their order.
