Web embeds
Put a live, tabbed menu on your own website with one snippet of HTML.
A web embed is your menu on your own website. You design it in the embed studio from your sections, copy one snippet into your site, and it keeps itself up to date: change a beer in PintDeck and your site shows it.
Make an embed
Start it
Open Web Embeds and click New Embed. Pick a template under Official or My templates, name it and click Create, or click Start blank. See Templates and themes.
Add tabs and sections
In the rail on the left, each tab is a page of your menu, like "Beer" and "Food". Click Add tab, rename a tab by double-clicking its name, and drag to reorder. Select a tab, then add its sections under Sections.
Add a header
Select Header and click Add for a Logo, Image or Text above the tabs.
Copy the snippet
Back on Web Embeds, open the embed's actions and click Copy iframe. Paste it into your website where the menu should go.
Click Open embed in the studio's top bar to see it the way your visitors will.
Set the size
In the studio's top bar, Max W and H are in pixels. Leave them empty for auto.
| Setting | What the snippet does |
|---|---|
| Max W empty | Fills the width of the spot on your page. |
| Max W set | Fills the width, up to that many pixels. |
| H empty | Grows and shrinks to fit the menu, so your page never shows a scroll bar inside it. |
| H set | Stays that tall, and the menu scrolls inside it. |
If you change Max W or H, copy the snippet again; the size is written into it.
Columns
Select Embed design for the whole embed's look. Under Columns:
- Columns spreads items across up to 4 columns instead of one long scroll.
- This tab gives the tab you're editing its own column count.
- Distribute, once you have 2 or more columns: Balanced keeps columns even and lets a long section continue in the next one; Keep sections whole never splits a section.
- Min width: columns drop off one at a time when the embed is narrower than this, so it becomes one column on phones.
Fonts, colors, cards and status effects work as in the TV studio.
Happy hours show here too
A deal from Menu scheduling shows its price on your embed while it's on, then goes back to each beer's own price.
