Live logs on your screens
Show the latest PintDeck Taste logs on a TV menu or promotion, as a ticker, a rolling list or a full-screen wall.
Live logs puts what people are drinking right now on your screens: the latest logs from PintDeck Taste, moving across a banner or rolling up a wall. New logs appear within seconds.
Add live logs
Pick a starting point
Click Add overlay, then Live logs, and pick one:
- Ticker: a banner along the bottom of the screen.
- Rolling list: a column down the side.
- Full-screen wall: the whole screen, rolling up. Put it on a promotion of its own and add that to a TV playlist.
Set it up
Move and resize it like any overlay, then choose its settings on the right.
Until real logs come in, the studio shows sample logs marked Sample. Your screens never show those.
Choose which logs
- Logged here (any beer) shows logs made inside your check-in area, guest taps included. Our beers, logged anywhere shows your beers wherever they were drunk, which suits a brewery without a taproom.
- Latest shows the newest logs, up to 30 days back. Today starts at 4 AM in your brewery's time zone, so a 1 AM pour still counts as tonight. Last few hours goes back as many hours as you set.
- Lowest rating leaves out logs rated below the number you pick.
Under Show, pick what each log includes: Profile picture, Name, Beer, Style, Brewery (guest beers), Rating, Note, Time and First try / First Pour. Layout switches between Ticker, Rolling and Spotlight, and When there are no logs sets a line to show instead of hiding it.
Who shows up, and how
Drinkers decide whether they appear by name. In PintDeck Taste, Show my logs on brewery screens is off until they turn it on, in Taste's setup or its settings.
- Opted in: first name and last initial ("Maya R."), profile picture, beer, rating and note.
- Not opted in: shown as "A Taste member" with the beer and rating only, and only when Include everyone's logs is on. Turn it off to show opted-in drinkers only.
- Never shown: private logs, logs taken down by moderation, and anything you hide.
Notes are cut short for the screen, and a note with strong language is left off automatically.
Taking a log down
Every Live logs panel ends with Recent logs. Choose Hide next to a log and it leaves your screens within seconds. It stays on the drinker's own profile; only your screens stop showing it. Show puts it back.
Requirements
Your brewery needs to be linked on PintDeck Taste, with a check-in area set, for Logged here (any beer) to find anything. Live logs appear on screens only: they're not available on print menus.
