Dashboards

A TV-sized board of live production numbers for the brewhouse, with its own display code.

Menu Builder › DashboardsReserve

A dashboard is a board of live numbers for a screen in the brewhouse or a browser tab: what's in each tank, barrels brewed this month, your last few batches. It plays from its own display code, like a TV menu, and can sit in a TV playlist.

The numbers come from your batches and tanks in Brewing.

Make a dashboard

Pick a starting layout

Open Dashboards and click New dashboard. Enter a Name and pick a layout under Start from:

  • Simple: Blank, At a glance, Taproom welcome, Tall board (portrait)
  • Advanced: Brewhouse control, Cellar wall, Production goals
  • Trends & sparklines: Trend wall, Momentum

Click Create & open studio.

Add and arrange widgets

Click a widget in the left rail to add it. Drag widgets on the canvas to reorder them, and select one to change it on the right.

Put it on a screen

The code is at the right of the top bar; click it to open the live board. Enter that code on the TV.

Widgets

GroupWidgets
MetricsKPI tile (one headline number), Metric strip (several side by side), Goal gauge (a number against a target)
ChartsProduction chart (barrels or batches over time), Beer mix (share by beer, as a donut)
CellarCellar occupancy, Cellar grid (every tank with fill and status), Single tank
ListsRecent batches, By beer (production per beer, ranked)
TextHeadline: a title, tagline or callout

Metric widgets can show barrels (year to date, last month, last 3 or 12 months, all time), batches brewed, average batch size, what's fermenting now, tanks and open tanks, cellar utilization and capacity, barrels in tank, distinct beers brewed, your top beer, and days since the last brew.

Select a widget to set its Title, width and Height, Color, and what it measures. KPI tiles can add a Sparkline and Change vs prior period.

Set the board's look

In the top bar:

  • 16:9 or 9:16 for the screen's shape.
  • Dark or Light.
  • The number of grid columns, and an accent color.

Under the canvas, pick a layout to start over. Replace this layout? warns that it replaces every widget, the theme and the grid; you can undo it.

Keep it on one screen

A dashboard doesn't scroll. If the widgets are taller than the screen, the studio warns Layout is taller than the frame, and the TV cuts off the bottom. Remove a widget or shrink some heights.

Archive or delete

Archive frees the dashboard's code, so TVs using it stop showing it; Restore gives it a new code. To delete a dashboard, archive it first, then delete it from the Archived tab.
