Your register
Connecting your Square account, telling PintDeck which register buttons are which beer, importing past sales, and disconnecting.
Settings › Register connects the Square account your register runs on. PintDeck reads what sells there every fifteen minutes, for Analytics, and club perks come off at the till. It's one connection for all of it. Only admins and the owner see this tab.
Work down the page in order: connect Square, match your register buttons to your beers, then bring in past sales.
Connect Square
Start
Click Connect Square. You sign in to Square and approve PintDeck.
Check it's the right account
Back in PintDeck, the Square card shows the Account and Location it connected to, Since when, and when it Last read your sales.

| Connected | Sales are being read, and club perks can reach the register. |
| Lost access | PintDeck lost access from Square's side. Sales aren't read and perks don't reach the register until you click Reconnect Square. |
| Unavailable | Square isn't switched on for PintDeck yet. Get in touch. |
Match register buttons to beers
Your register says Cold Front IPA - Pint; your beer list says Cold Front. Beers at the register links the two, so your sales show up beside what people log, and so you can put a beer on for the club.
Scan
Click Scan Square items. PintDeck reads your Square items and suggests which look like your beers, each marked Almost certain, Likely or Worth a look.
Review each one
If the suggested beer is right, click Confirm. If not, choose the right beer from the list beside it, which matches it straight away. Click Not a beer for anything that isn't.
The card's badge says how many are left to review, or how many are matched. Scan again whenever you add new items in Square.
Import past sales
Once you're connected, Import history brings in sales from before you connected. Choose how far back (The last 3 months, The last year, The last two years or Everything Square has) and click Import.
It reads a month at a time and shows how many orders it has found. Keep the page open while it runs, or click Stop after this month. Nothing is spent or changed at your register; PintDeck only reads.
Disconnect
Disconnect is at the bottom of the Square card. What uses your register, at the bottom of the page, links to what depends on the connection: Analytics and Club › Register.
After you confirm:
- Sales stop being read, and member perks stop coming off at your register.
- Everything PintDeck added to your Square account is removed. What's already in PintDeck stays.
- Members paying club dues through Square have their renewals canceled, so nobody is charged again. Nobody loses time they've already paid for.
- Square stops taking ticket cards. See Payments.
Click Keep it connected to back out.
