Your team

Inviting people to your brewery, what each role can do, how many people each plan allows, handing over ownership, and working across more than one brewery.

Settings › Team

Everyone who works in PintDeck for your brewery has their own login and a role. Invite them from Settings › Team; they sign in with their own email.

Roles

RoleWhat they can do
OwnerEverything an admin can, plus hand the brewery to someone else and delete it. There's one owner: whoever created the brewery, until they transfer it. Billing email goes to the owner unless you choose someone else.
AdminChange the brewery's settings, invite and remove people, change roles, and use Register, Payments, Billing and Invite a brewery.
MemberThe day-to-day work. In Settings they see General, Beer styles, Team, AI images and Media, but can't change the brewery's name, logo, address, hours or taps, and can't invite anyone.

Some areas keep their own setup to admins as well, such as the club. Each guide says who can do what.

How many people your plan allows

PlanTeam members
Taster2
Brewhouse5
ReserveNo limit

Everyone counts, the owner included, and so does every invitation still waiting to be accepted. At the limit, sending another invitation says Your Taster plan is limited to 2 organization members. Upgrade to add more. Cancel an invitation, remove someone, or change your plan.

Moving to a smaller plan doesn't remove anyone. You can't invite more people until you're under the new limit.

Invite someone

Only admins and the owner can invite.

Open the Team tab

In Settings › Team, click Invite Member.

Say who and what role

Type their Email Address, choose Admin or Member under Role, and click Send Invitation.

They accept

They get an email, You've been invited to (your brewery) on PintDeck, with an Accept invitation button. See Accept an invitation.

An invitation lasts 48 hours. Until it's accepted it's listed under Pending Invitations; the × beside it cancels it. Once one has expired, invite the same address again to send a new one.

Accept an invitation

Click Accept invitation in the email.

  • Not signed in: the page says You've been invited! Choose Sign in if you have a PintDeck account, or Create account. An invited email doesn't need to be on the waitlist.
  • Signed in with a different email: the page says Different account needed. Choose Create a new account or Sign in to a different account. You stay signed in to the account you're in, and can switch between them from your picture.
  • Already in PintDeck with the invited email: the invitation also shows in the brewery menu at the top of the sidebar, with Accept Invite.

Once you're in, the brewery is yours to switch to like any other.

Change a role or remove someone

The Members list shows each person's Role and when they Joined. Search it, or filter by role.

  • Change a role: admins pick Admin or Member in the person's Role column.
  • Remove someone: click ⋯ on their row, then Remove. They lose access to the brewery straight away.

Nobody can change their own role or remove themselves, and nobody can change or remove the owner.

Transfer ownership

The owner can hand the brewery to anyone already on the team. Click ⋯ on their row, then Transfer ownership. The dialog spells out what changes:

  • They take over billing. Receipts, invoices and payment notices go to them from then on.
  • They can delete the brewery. You no longer can.
  • You stay on as an admin.
  • The subscription keeps running as it is. Nothing is canceled and no one is charged.

Only the new owner can transfer it back. To hand the brewery to someone who isn't on the team yet, invite them first.

More than one brewery

One login can belong to several breweries.

  • Switch: click your brewery's name at the top of the sidebar and pick another. Each shows its plan, with Trial or Comp after it while it's on a trial or complimentary access. The dashboard reloads into that brewery.
  • Add one: in the same menu, choose Create organization. Fill in Add another taproom (only Brewery name is required), click Continue, then pick a plan and check out. Each brewery has its own plan and its own bill. A new brewery shows in the menu once its plan has started.
  • On iPhone: tap your brewery's name at the top left, then Switch on the brewery card.
