Billing

Changing your plan or how often you're billed and when it takes effect, canceling and resuming, invoices, the card on file, and who gets billing email.

Settings › Billing

Billing is where you change your plan, cancel, and find past invoices. Only admins and the owner see it. Payments are handled by Stripe.

The page shows the three plans side by side. Your current one says Current, with its status (Trial, Active, On Hold or Canceled) and the date of your Next billing, or Trial ends while you're on a trial.

Change your plan

Pick monthly or annual

Use the Monthly / Annual switch above the plans. Annual billing saves about 20%.

Choose the plan

Click the button on its card: Upgrade, Downgrade, or Switch to annual / Switch to monthly to keep your plan and change how often you're billed.

Check and confirm

A confirmation shows the new price and what's charged today, including any credit for the unused part of your current plan. Click its button (Confirm & Pay, Confirm Downgrade, or Schedule change for a change that waits). Nothing changes until you do.

If the card on file is declined, nothing changes: a message says you've been kept on your current plan. Update your card and try again.

When a change takes effect

ChangeTakes effectCharged today
To a higher planRight awayThe new plan for the rest of this billing period, less credit for your current one
To a lower plan, same billingRight awayShown in the confirmation, after credit for your current plan
Monthly to annualRight awayThe year up front, less credit for the rest of this month
Annual to monthlyWhen your annual term ends$0.00. You keep your current plan until then
Anything, during the free trialRight awayNothing. The new price starts when the trial ends

Annual to monthly on a higher plan counts as moving up, and happens right away. A change that waits shows as Plan change scheduled at the top of Billing, with the date it takes effect; Cancel on that banner drops it.

Cancel

Under your current plan, click Cancel Subscription, then Confirm Cancellation. Your plan keeps running to the end of the period you've paid for (or the end of your trial), then your brewery is paused until you pick a plan again. Nothing is deleted.

While it's winding down:

  • Billing says Your subscription will be canceled at the end of the current billing period, and your plan shows the date it Cancels on.
  • The top of the dashboard counts down days until access ends. Click it to open Billing.
  • You can't change plans. Resume Subscription undoes the cancellation, and then you can.

Canceling also drops a plan change you'd scheduled. Billing links to the Refund Policy at the bottom of the page.

Payments and invoices

Once your brewery has been through checkout, Payments lists each charge with its Date, Description (such as Brewhouse monthly payment or Plan change (prorated)), Method, Status and Amount. The download button on a row opens its receipt or invoice.

The card on file

Payment methods lists your saved cards, with the one your plan is charged to marked Default. Manage (or Add card if there's none yet) opens Stripe's billing page, where you can add or change a card.

Billing contacts

Billing contacts decides who gets email about your subscription. Until you change it, that's the owner.

ContactGets
PrimaryEverything, straight from Stripe: receipts, payment retries, card-expiry notices.
Everyone elseA copy from PintDeck of what you tick for them: Invoices, Payment problems, or both.
  • Add member adds someone from your team; or type any address, such as your bookkeeper's, and click Add email.
  • ⋯ › Make primary makes someone the primary contact.
  • ⋯ › Remove takes someone off. The primary contact can't be removed; make someone else primary first.

Transferring ownership points billing email at the new owner. See Transfer ownership.
