Count what isn't beer, like wine, spirits, cans, ingredients and merch, and see what needs reordering.

Inventory › StockReserveCellar › Stock on iPhone

The Stock tab counts what isn't beer: wine, spirits, cans, ingredients and merch. Count each item now and then. PintDeck keeps every count, works out how fast it's going, and marks it when it's at or under its reorder line.

Add an item

Open Add stock item

Click Add Stock Item at the top of the tab.

Name it

Under Item, pick one of your menu items, or type a name for anything that isn't on the menu. A menu item brings its name and category with it, and the item's page links back to it.

Say how you count it

  • Category: Bar, Food, Retail, Merch or Other.
  • Unit: what one sealed unit is, such as bottle, can, case or lb.
  • Track open-unit level: turn it on when the partly poured bottle matters, like whiskey or an opened wine. Leave it off for cans, merch and bulk ingredients.
  • Reorder threshold (optional): at or below this, the item shows as low.

Add item

Description and Notes are optional, for a vintage, a supplier, anything to remember.

Count an item

Open the row's … menu and choose Log a reading, or open the item and click Count.

Enter what's on the shelf

Type the Sealed count, in the item's unit. For an item that tracks its open unit, Add open unit and slide to how full it is. Total remaining adds them up.

Date it

The Reading date is today. Add a Time (optional) and a Note (optional), such as delivery arrived.

Save it

Click Save reading. The count joins the item's history.

Read the list

Four numbers sit on top: Items, Reorder now (at or under their line), Not counted (in over two weeks, or never), and Last count.

ColumnWhat it shows
On handThe latest count, in its unit. Red with low or out when it's at or under its line, or empty.
RunwayWhat's left against the most it has held. Green, amber at the reorder line, red under it. The tick is the line.
Reorder atThe item's reorder threshold.
CountedWhen it was last counted. Amber after two weeks.

Search the list, filter it by Category, Unit or Stock level (Out, Low, OK, No readings), add columns with the column picker, group by category, and save the view as a preset.

An item's page

Click an item to open it. Its status reads On hand, Low, Depleted or No readings.

  • Runs out: the day it should run out, from how fast it has gone down since its first count. It needs two counts with a drop between them; until then it says No date yet. If the day has already passed, it says Likely ran out and asks you to count to check.
  • On hand, Using (a week), Reorder at and Counted.
  • Level: a chart of every count. Pick a range from 1W to All.
  • History: every count, grouped by Shipment. A count higher than the one before starts a new shipment. Click a count to fix or delete it.

… › Edit item changes the item. Archive, at the bottom of the edit dialog, takes the item off the Stock tab.

Cans from a canning run

A canning run on the Kegs tab adds the cans it made to a stock item's count, and the item's page lists the run under Canning runs. See Hold kegs for canning.

On iPhone

Cellar › Stock lists every item with how many are left and its reorder line. An item's page has Log a count and Edit. Add an item with New stock item in the Cellar + menu.
