What members see
The join page your link and QR code open, the club in the PintDeck Taste app, and the Apple Wallet membership pass.
Most members never open anything: no app required. They gave a name and an email or phone number, and at the bar they give their name or member number. Members who use PintDeck Taste, the drinkers' iPhone app, also see their membership, their perks and their buy-ten card there.
The join page
Your join link opens a page with your brewery's name, the club's name and what members get. It asks for:
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Your name | Required. |
| Email and Phone | One of the two is enough. A paid level needs an email. |
| Level | Only when there's more than one level to pick. |
| Birthday | Month and day, or Rather not. |
| Club emails | Off to start. They turn it on to get your sends. |
Under the button it says You must be 21 or older to join. The button reads Join and your club's name, or the price for a paid level, such as Join for $75 a year. A paid level asks for a card right on the page with Square, or goes on to a secure payment page with Stripe. See Levels and dues.
Once they've joined, the page says Welcome to your club, shows their number, and tells them to give their name at the bar. Their welcome perk is already waiting.
The page also shows:
- Also available at the bar: levels people can't pick here, with their price.
- Terms: your terms from Club settings, at the bottom.
- That your brewery runs the club and holds their details, and PintDeck stores them for you.
| They see | Because |
|---|---|
| You're already in | Their email is already in the club. It shows their number. |
| The club is full | The club is at its member cap, or your plan's member limit. |
| This club isn't here | The link is wrong, or the club isn't taking sign-ups. |
Search engines don't list the page; it only works for people you give the link to.
In PintDeck Taste
A member whose membership is linked to their PintDeck Taste account sees the club under You › Clubs, on the Deck's Tickets, and as Members club on your brewery's page. For each club:
- The membership card, with their number and level, which they can turn over and hold up at the bar.
- Add to Apple Wallet, under the card.
- Waiting for you: each perk they hold, with its fine print and the day to use it by.
- Club card: their buy-ten card, punched up to where they are.
A lapsed member is told their membership has lapsed, that what they're already owed still stands, and that renewing is done at the bar.
Visits on your brewery's page
On your brewery's page in Taste, the Yours tab shows a signed-in drinker their visits to you, and your visit perks under Club perks for visits, with how many visits to go. A visit is a day they log a beer inside your brewery.
Apple Wallet
Add to Apple Wallet in Taste adds a membership pass: their member number, name and level, when they joined or the date their membership runs through, how many perks are waiting, and a QR code. The back lists their perks, their buy-ten card and your terms, and says Show this pass, or give your name or member number. When your taproom's location is known, the pass comes up on their lock screen there.
The pass is a snapshot
A Wallet pass doesn't update when a member's perks or level change. Adding it again from Taste replaces it with a fresh one. The app is always current.
