Email your members
Sending an email to club members, choosing who it reaches, filling in names, attaching a perk, and how many sends each plan includes.
A send is an email from your brewery to club members: a release, a members-only night, a nudge to someone who lapsed. Brewhouse includes two sends a month and Reserve has no limit. On Taster, member emails aren't included. Only admins and the owner can send.
Send an email
Open New send
On Marketing, click New send. You can also choose Send a message from ⋯ on the Overview, or from a member's page to email only them.
Pick who gets it
Who gets it lists each audience with how many it reaches:
| Audience | Who's in it |
|---|---|
| All active members | Everyone active. |
| Each of your levels | Active members of that level. |
| Birthdays this month | Active members with a birthday this month. |
| Lapsed 60+ days | Members who lapsed 60 or more days ago. |
| Holding an unused perk | Active members with a perk they haven't used. |
| Just a name | One member, when you start from their page. |
A count like 18 of 22 means four can't be emailed: they have no email, or switched club emails off.
Write it
Give it a Subject and a Message. Insert adds a field that's filled
in for each member: {first name}, {name}, {member number} or {level}.
Hey {first name} reaches Dana as Hey Dana.
Attach a perk, if you like
Attach a perk hands a perk to everyone the email reaches, as it goes out. See below.
Send it
Click Send to the number. PintDeck asks once more, with how many of your monthly sends this uses, then Send it.
A send can't be recalled
Once it goes, it's gone. Check the subject, the audience and any perk you attached before you confirm.
What members get
The email comes from your brewery's name, with your logo, your subject as its heading and your message under it. The foot says they're getting it because they're a member, has a Stop club emails link, and shows your brewery's address. The law requires both in a marketing email, so PintDeck won't send until your address is filled in under Settings › General.
Members only get it if they have an email address and Send them club emails is on for them. Members who left the club have it turned off, and so do members who use the stop link. They stay members, and their perks keep working. People who join from your join page choose whether to get club emails; the switch starts off.
Attach a perk
Pick any perk that's on under Attach a perk. Everyone the email reaches gets one, before the email lands, and the email says it's waiting on their membership. If the perk expires after a number of days, that counts from the send. Members left out of the email, with no address or emails off, don't get it.
Monthly sends
| Plan | Sends a month |
|---|---|
| Taster | None |
| Brewhouse | 2 |
| Reserve | No limit |
A send counts once, however many members it reaches, including a send to one member. Months run on the calendar, and a send that fails entirely doesn't count. Sent this month on Marketing shows where you are.
The Marketing section
The numbers across the top include Sent this month and Reach by email, the active members you can email. Opens aren't tracked. Under them, Sends lists the last 50 emails that went out, newest first, with the audience, the day each went and how many it reached.
