Edit a beer

Change a beer's name, prices, specs, image and notes right on its page, one panel at a time or all at once.

Products › BeersEvery planAlso on iPhone

You edit a beer on its page, in the same panels you read it in, so nothing moves while you work. Nothing changes on a menu until you click Save.

One panel, or all of them

  • Edit on a panel turns only that panel into fields. Its foot says what you've changed (1 change · the full pour price), with Cancel and Save.
  • Edit at the top of the page turns every panel into fields, with one Cancel and Save at the bottom. Edit in a beer's ⋯ menu on the Beers list opens it this way too.

Close the page with changes you haven't saved and PintDeck asks Discard your changes?: Keep editing or Discard.

If a field in another panel needs fixing first, PintDeck says which one and where, and doesn't save until it's fixed.

On every menu

What every menu prints about the beer.

Just for you

Notes for your team (pairings, reminders), and four dates: Brewed, Packaged, On tap and Last day. Menus leave them out, unless you add one of the dates to a card template yourself.

The On tap date does one more thing: for a beer that's Coming soon, the Beers list shows it beside the status (Coming soon Oct 14).

Click the empty square on On every menu (or Edit on that panel), then:

  • Click to upload, or drag a picture in. PNG, JPG, GIF or WebP, up to 5MB. Crop Image opens next: images are square, so drag and zoom to frame it, then Save.
  • Choose from library reuses any image already in PintDeck: on another beer, an item, a promotion, a menu, an embed or a printout. The AI tab holds images made with the AI image tool.

The ✕ on the picture removes it.

Changing many beers at once

To set the same price, style, date or tag on several beers, select them on the Beers list and use Edit Selected. See The Beers list.

On the iPhone

In PintDeck Business for iPhone, the pencil on a beer's page opens the whole form. On Overview, tap any row (the price, the description, the status) to change only that. Those changes collect in a bar at the bottom; Save shows you each change before it's saved.
