What you can report on

The thirteen kinds of data a report can read, where each comes from, and some of what each one counts.

Platform › Analytics › ReportsBrewhouse and Reserve

Every report reads one kind of data, picked in the first menu of the Reports toolbar. Each kind offers its own fields to group and filter by, and its own numbers to count. Hover a field or metric in a picker to see what it means.

The register

Both come from your Square account, connected in Settings › Register.

DataOne row isSome of what it counts
OrdersA ticket closed at your register: what it came to, and who was on the other side of it.Net sales, Gross sales, Discounts, Average ticket, Member share of net, Members served
SalesA line on a ticket, matched to the beer it poured where PintDeck can tell.Units sold, Sales, Average unit price, Average ABV poured, Register coverage

Use Orders for money and Sales for what was sold. A ticket's total repeated on every line would count it twice, which is why per-beer questions live in Sales. A line counts toward a beer only once its register button is matched to that beer in Settings › Register; Matched to a beer filters to those.

Beer and the cellar

DataOne row isSome of what it counts
ProductionA batch on your tank schedule: what it was, which tank it sat in, and whether it came out when you said.Batches, Barrels, On-time rate, Days late, Tank fill
CellarA keg filled, emptied or cleaned on the Kegs tab.Kegs filled, Kegs emptied, Days full, Turns per keg
BrewsA batch you logged on brew day, with what it measured.Batches, Barrels brewed, ABV (measured), OG (measured), Dump rate
Fermentation readingsA gravity, temperature, pH or volume reading, from brew day through fermentation.Readings, Gravity, Temperature, pH
Beer catalogA beer you list on Beers, with its ABV, IBU, SRM, gravities, prices and dates.Beers, On tap, ABV, Pint price
Beer spec historyA change to a beer's listed ABV, IBU, SRM, gravities or pint price.Versions, Beers changed, ABV change, Price change

Days full runs from a keg's fill to its kick, and is empty while the keg is still full: a keg that hasn't been emptied has no answer yet. Day of batch, in Fermentation readings, lines every batch up from brew day, so batches of one beer can be compared on one chart.

Taste

DataOne row isSome of what it counts
TasteA pour someone logged on PintDeck Taste against one of your beers.Check-ins, Drinkers, Rating, Share logged in your taproom, Share on a linked beer
Ticket salesA payment or refund on one of your paid events: by hand, by card or comped.Collected, Refunded, Net sales, Card fees, Refund rate

Taste reports are totals only. Drinkers counts people without naming them, and there's no way to list or pick out one person. In your taproom splits pours logged inside your check-in area from the rest.

Ticket sales counts a check on the day it was received, and a comp as a payment of $0, so a comped night still shows its guests. Group it by How they paid or Where it came in (bought in Taste, a pay link, typed by staff, recorded by staff, at the door).

The club

DataOne row isSome of what it counts
Club membersSomeone in your club: when they joined, their level, and what they've spent and redeemed since.Members, Active members, Lapsed members, Lifetime spend, Share on Taste
Perk redemptionsA perk a member used: which one, when, where, and what it was worth at retail.Redemptions, Members redeeming, Retail value, Share at the register
Club duesA subscription started, a payment collected or failed, a pause or a cancellation on a paid level.Dues collected, Failed payments, Paying members, Failure rate

Redemptions leaves out voided ones; Voided counts them on their own.
