The dashboard
What each card on the Analytics dashboard shows and where its numbers come from, picking a period, and arranging the cards for the team.
The dashboard is the first thing Analytics opens on: sixteen cards that read top to bottom as a night at the brewery does. The till, when the room is busy, what sold and what people thought of it, then the cellar, Taste and the club. Everyone at the brewery sees the same cards; each person picks the period they look at them through.
Pick a period
The period button at the top left opens the choices: Today through Last year, Year to date, All time, or a Custom range from the calendar. The arrows either side step a period back or forward. The dashboard starts on Last 30 days.
Compare sets what each number is measured against: No comparison, Previous period or Same period last year. With a comparison on, each number shows how it moved. The arrow says which way; the dot says whether that is good news, which isn't always the same thing (a discount rate going up is not).
The period is yours alone and remembered in this browser, so changing it never changes what a teammate sees.

Active members always counts the club as it is today, whatever period you pick, and its title says so (· All time).
Register coverage, and why it matters
The till knows buttons, like Cold Front IPA · Pint, not beers. A card about beers or styles only counts the buttons matched to a beer, so until most of the till is matched, those cards are a floor, not a total. Under 80%, a per-beer card says so on the card itself, like A floor: 62% of the till is matched to a beer. Match more →.
To match more, go to Settings › Register. Under Beers at the register, click Scan Square items, then confirm the matches PintDeck suggests, fix the ones it got wrong, and mark anything that isn't a beer.
When a card is empty
A card over something that isn't set up says what's missing instead of showing zero:
| The card says | Click | To |
|---|---|---|
| Your register isn't connected | Connect Square | Connect Square in Settings › Register. |
| Claim your brewery on Taste | Open Taste | Claim your brewery on Customers › Taste. |
| You don't have a club yet | Open Club | Start one on Customers › Club. |
Demo beers are left out. To count them, open the … menu at the top right and turn on Include demo beers. Refresh in the same menu runs every card again.
A card's menu
Hover a card and click its … for:
- Open in Reports: the card as a report, to change, filter or save. See Reports.
- Export CSV: the card's numbers as a spreadsheet.
- Edit widget…, Duplicate and Remove, for admins.
Arrange the dashboard
The layout belongs to the brewery, so only admins change it, and every change saves at once, for everyone.
Move and resize
Click Edit layout. Drag a card's grip to move it and its corner to resize it, then click Done. On a phone, tap Edit, then use a card's … menu to Move up or Move down.
Add a card
Click Add widget. Your brewery's Saved reports come first, then every built-in report by group: The register, Beer and the cellar, Taste and The club. A card already on the dashboard says added.
Change a card
Edit widget… in a card's menu sets its Title, its Size (Small, Medium, Large or Full width) and its Chart. Turn off Follow the dashboard's period to give the card a period of its own.
A card added from a saved report keeps a copy of the report as it was. Changing or deleting the saved report later doesn't change the card.
To start over, choose Reset to the built-in dashboard in the … menu. It puts back PintDeck's sixteen cards, at their sizes, for everyone. Saved reports aren't affected.
If someone else changed the dashboard while you were arranging it, a bar says who and when, with Reload theirs and Keep mine.
