Add an event

Put a release, a trivia night or a tap takeover on the team's calendar, say what it pours, and put it on Taste when members should find it.

Operations › CalendarBrewhouse and ReserveAlso on iPhone

An event on the calendar is anything happening at the brewery that isn't a private booking: a release party, trivia every Tuesday, a festival weekend. With On Taste off, only your team sees it: on the calendar, on Today and in the calendar feed. With it on, members find it in PintDeck Taste and collect a stamp for coming.

Add one

Open the form

Click Add › Event on the calendar, or click a day and then Event. The form opens on that day. Add › Event on Today works the same way.

Name it and pick how often

Repeats runs Every week, Every 2 weeks, Every 4 weeks or Monthly. Pick the weekdays (for Monthly, which one: First through Last), then Starting, Doors and Hours.

Once takes the date and its From and To times. Several days takes a date and times for each day; Add a day adds another. On the team calendar it runs from the first day to the last, at the first day's times.

Say where and what kind

Where is free text, like Taproom. Kind files it under one of your categories, which also sets its color on the calendar.

Name the beers, if it's about a beer

Turn on Beer release and pick the beers under Pouring. Each beer's page lists the event, and Today says what's pouring.

Say what happens

About is for the details: what happens, what to bring.

Create it

Click Create event.

Check On Taste before you create

If your brewery is claimed on Taste and you're an owner or admin, a new event starts with On Taste turned on, and the form asks Taste's questions, like who can come. Turn it off for an event only the team should see.

Kinds

With On Taste off, Kind lists your own categories. Every brewery starts with six: Tap Takeover, Beer Release, Live Music, Trivia, Festival and Other. In the list, New category… adds one with a name and a color, and the pencil beside a category edits it.

The event's page

Click an event anywhere to open its page. Across the top: Next (the next date it's on), When, Where and Kind.

  • Details shows Same day (or Same night for an evening event): everything else on the calendar that day. If a private booking that closes the taproom overlaps it, a warning says so; see Closing the taproom. Below are Pouring and About.
  • Tasks holds the prep for it. See Tasks for events, brews and beers.

Edit turns the page into the form. To delete it, open the … menu and choose Delete event. It comes off the calendar (every date, if it repeats), and its tasks stay in Tasks.

Put it on Taste

The On Taste switch at the top of the page moves the event onto PintDeck Taste. The form opens with Taste's questions: who can come, how many spots, and what counts as being there. Click Put it on Taste, and from then on it's a Taste event, with its tasks and beers still attached. See Create a Taste event for those choices.

The switch is grayed out until your brewery is claimed on Taste, and only owners and admins can use it.

On iPhone

In PintDeck Business for iPhone, tap + on the Calendar tab and choose A calendar event, or open Plan › Calendar and tap New event. The form takes a title, a category, the days and times, a location, notes and how it repeats: Does not repeat, Daily, Weekly or Monthly, with an optional end date. Tap a day on the month to see what's on it; events can be edited there, and bookings, brewing and to-dos open from their own pages.
