Refund Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

Overview

We want PintDeck to be a straightforward, low-risk commitment for your taproom or brewery. This policy explains when and how refunds are issued for PintDeck subscriptions.

PintDeck subscriptions are sold and billed through Stripe's Managed Payments service, with Stripe acting as the merchant of record (see Section 5.3 of our Terms of Service). We decide refunds under this policy and Stripe processes them. Stripe may also review refund requests and payment disputes made directly to Stripe or Link, and may issue refunds under its own policies.

This policy covers only what you pay PintDeck. Payments your guests make to your brewery, such as tickets and club dues, go to your own Stripe or Square account, and refunds for them are up to you.

1. 14-Day Refund Window for New Subscriptions

If you are a new subscriber and cancel within 14 calendar days of your first paid charge — that is, within 14 days of the end of your free trial, or within 14 days of subscribing if you didn't have a trial — you are entitled to a full refund of that charge with no questions asked.

What counts as a "new subscription": Your first paid subscription to PintDeck under a given account. Resubscriptions (accounts that previously had an active subscription) are not eligible for the 14-day new-subscriber refund unless otherwise agreed in writing.

To request a refund under this policy, email support@pintdeck.io with the subject line "Refund Request" within 14 days of the charge. Include your account email address and the approximate charge date. We'll process the refund within 5–10 business days of confirming eligibility.

2. Monthly Plans — After the 14-Day Window

For monthly subscriptions, charges older than 14 days are non-refundable. When you cancel a monthly subscription after the 14-day window, your access continues through the end of the current billing period. You will not be charged again after that.

We do not issue prorated refunds for partial months on monthly plans.

3. Annual Plans — Prorated Refund for Unused Months

Annual subscribers who cancel mid-term are eligible for a prorated refund of the unused portion of their subscription, calculated as follows:

Prorated refund = (months remaining ÷ 12) × annual fee paid — $25 handling fee

"Months remaining" means the number of whole calendar months left in your annual billing period at the time your cancellation is processed. A flat $25 handling fee is deducted from every annual prorated refund to cover payment-processing and administrative costs.

Example: If you are on the Brewhouse annual plan ($1,428 a year, or $119 a month) and cancel with 4 months remaining, the refund would be (4 ÷ 12) × $1,428 − $25 = $476 − $25 = $451.

To request an annual prorated refund, email support@pintdeck.io within the active subscription period. Refund requests submitted after your subscription has lapsed or been fully charged out are not eligible.

Processing time is 5–10 business days after we confirm the refund amount.

4. Plan Downgrades and Upgrades

When you upgrade or downgrade your plan mid-period, PintDeck (via Stripe) automatically calculates prorated charges or credits. These adjustments happen at the time of the plan change and are reflected in your next charge or as account credits applied to future billing. These proration credits are not cash refunds.

5. Free Trial

Free trials are offered at no charge, and the length of yours is shown at checkout. There is nothing to refund during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, your card is never charged.

6. Exceptions and Special Circumstances

We handle requests outside the above windows on a case-by-case basis. Situations we may grant exceptions for include extended service outages that materially impair your ability to use PintDeck, billing errors on our end, or other extenuating circumstances. Please contact us — we'd rather keep your trust than lose you over a billing dispute.

We do not grant refunds for:

  • Forgetting to cancel before a renewal date.
  • Deciding you no longer need the service after a charge older than 14 days.
  • Charges that occurred during a billing period when the Service was largely functional.

7. Chargebacks and Disputes

We ask that you contact us at support@pintdeck.io before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Most billing issues can be resolved quickly, and a chargeback puts an administrative burden on both parties. Accounts with open chargeback disputes may be suspended until the dispute is resolved.

8. How to Request a Refund

  1. Email support@pintdeck.io with the subject line "Refund Request."
  2. Include your account email address, the approximate date of the charge, and a brief reason for the request.
  3. We will respond within 2 business days to confirm receipt and inform you of eligibility.
  4. If approved, the refund will be returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days (timing depends on your card issuer).

Alternatively, you can cancel your subscription directly through the Billing tab in your account settings. The cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. For a refund of a recent charge, you still need to email us as described above — the in-app cancel does not automatically trigger a refund.
